Greetings everyone!

Decided to get back into the hobby after a 12 year break and the equipment used on the hobby are getting much more "hi-tech" as compared to back then where T5 blue and controllable Tunze are the must-have for serious hobbyist.

Most of the equipments are already bought. My choices may horrify some here but I have a budget to work with, and for me to have a monitor/controller these are what i think is the best bang for the buck. Hydra HD and Tunze are nice but that means no controller for the tank.

Tank: Custom 40"x 24" x 24" with front crystal panel
Return: Jebao DCP 8000 (Bought 2, 1 for return, 1 as miscellaneous or spare in case of breakdown)
Light: China black box Mars Aqua 165W x 2
Wave: Jebao OW-40 x 2
Skimmer: Not purchased, but maybe Reef Octopus depending of budget left.
Chiller: Not purchased but looking at a 1/2 HP

Back to the controller, I am almost clicking the "Buy" icon on a P4 mega set, but before i purchase, like to check with current users if it is possible to used the P4 to control the following:
  • Dimming of the Mars Aqua 165W x 2 set (4 channel control? )
  • Control of the Jebao OW-40 x 2 set
  • Notification (Email) if the Jebao DCP 8000 return is not working
  • Switching on the chiller (1/2 HP) and chiller pump at preset temp
I can do simple DIYs if there are walk-through instructions, appreciate that reefers can point me to the correct direction.

Thanks for reading, and yup feel quite the excitement getting back in the hobby.

Cheers
Ming
