Just received my GHL sensors and one of the magnetic holders. My planned placement was in a high flow area of the sump, at least until I upgrade to the measuring cell, and in most areas of the sump they will be completely submerged if my return pump is off.

Can the sensors be totally submerged (i.e. up to the cable) safely or do I need to find a placement where the wider 'handle' part at the top is always above water?

The probes can be submerged for short amount of time, but should not be installed under water permanently.

Something about the saltwater making the cable plastic harden and crack over a long time.
