I controlled it through my laptop computer via futura Bluetooth app. It was just easier for me. It can not be controlled by iPhone. The app is a android based app. It has 5 different channels that you can customize along with clouds and lunar phases as well or use some preloaded templates. Once I had it all setup to my liking I never had to go back and change it again only to adjust intensity and time period of having light on. I hope this answers everything.
