No one in Central FL seems to have the h160 in stock so I stuck with the h80. Made a custom wall mount for it.

Also grabbed a baby clam and the GSP this weekend. Clam is the black and teal color.

Everything is a little cloudy since i just cleaned the tank.

Fell off my updates quite a bit. The tank was going really well and the frog fish was loving life until beginning of this year. I did also discover that I couldn’t keep Zola’s because one of my fish was eating them.

I started to have a slime algae problem. I’d blow it off with a blaster, suck it out with a siphon, three days later it was back. Eventually everything started looking a little rough.

Three weeks ago someone at my LfS suggested Chemiclean. This totally wiped it out it 36 hours, amazing stuff. Problem is, best I can guess, it also caused some sort of toxin to leak out of something it killed and into my water. Water got crazy hazy at hour 48 and I immediately did two water changes with in 3 hours to try and get the chemicals out. Eventually I ended up adding crazy amounts of phosphate remover, tons of carbon, and a nutrient export. After 24 hours things started to go back to normal. All said and done tho, here is what I lost:

-Clam
-bubba the frog fish
-every snail in the tank
-serpent startfish
-baby mimic tang

As of today - I’ve added a few snails back because algae was becoming a problem again. Tank is looking super healthy again and an anemone that disappeared 2 months ago, came back out and ate some food I put by it. I’ll try to grab a pic later tonight.

Baby clowns!!!!

Fiancé wants to know how many will survive - sadly none because neither of us have the time to raise them at this point. First time my clowns have every spawned tho so it’s super cool and exciting.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
