Here are my two favorites. I’m gonna be putting coral on them in a while.I have more but I’ve gotta scrub lettering off the beer growler and I’ll sink those behind the rockwork so they won’t make the tank look overcrowded with bottles

mine shattered into 30 different pieces. I got half of two bottles put together.
Probably because it was thin glass, cream soda bottles did the same thing for me smh. Buy some of “Fentiman’s” sodas and mixers... they have really nice bottles that are just right for breaking. That bottle in my reef tank with the long neck is Fentiman’s. Also try sauce bottles or olive oil bottles, both are typically a bit thicker and not tempered.

Ya, I thought the same thing. A trip to the store for some nice bottles.

Bottles at the bottom of the ocean are a sign of pollution. Are you trying to replicate that look?

if so, add some plastic from a six pack, maybe some trashed netting too as flotsam.

Sorry mate, I'm just not getting it.

Not sure why you're getting annoyed. You can carry on with your idea, no need to be swayed.
If you are asking why throw a bottle in the tank I agree. I'm doing more to it than just a bottle. The next step is mortar. Make it all rough and add charicter. I'm going to grow some gsp and zoa on the bottles.
The bottles will be slightly buried so as to hide some of the profile and well I dont have a whole bottle because of the way it broke.

If I had. Big enough tank I would sink a wooden pirate ship as well. Who doesnt like diving on a wreck.

I would but the whole point is for it to break in peices so the glass will look random when glued back together. There has to be a couple different holes to prevent water from just stagnating.

Yeah, but we do get it. Glass bottles and plastic don’t have the same effect. I like bottles because they’re made by man... but the ocean, she reclaims them. It’s beat into beautiful harmless sea glass and used for homes by a multitude of animals and algaes.

Well you definitely seem like the type to watch Oprah, and I’d understand why he’s annoyed your just kinda being negative and you’re not contributing to this thread at all ha ha
