Glass Heater in DT

For those who don't have a sump, do you put a guard on the heater, wondering whether there is any risk it gets hot enough to pose a risk to inhabitants, fish, anemones etc

I would never put a glass heater in DT personally. In addition to always seeming to fail on, they also break.
