Recently i have been wanting to upgrade my aquarium and am looking for a 400gallon starfire aquarium. So I was looking at various aquarium distributors and saw glass cages . When i looked up glasscages reviews there was very mixed reviews but a lot of the rthreads i read were from quite awhile ago so i was wondering what evrybody thinks about glasscages.com
Thanks

Glasscages is ok in term of pricing but not sure on quality. I have heard that it have gotten better but you might want to check out reefsavvy, I think you'll like how they built the tank better but up to you

+1 i've only heard good things about Felix and his crew. With tanks, you usually get what you pay for if it's cheaper.

Did you know that starfire glass scratches easier than ordinary glass?

I've had my 240 gallon Glass Cages tank for almost 6 years and I still love it.
I've read a ton of bad reviews on them, but one thing I've noticed is one story will get repeated countless times.
I'm going to need another tank in about a year and I really hope by then they might do another west coast tank tour with their delivery truck.

We have ordered truck loads of tanks from GlassCages.com without issues. Tom the owner is a great guy to deal with too.

I've bought two used GC tanks so far and the quality is great. I got lucky and found a Starphire 3 side 120g local, otherwise I would have bought new from them.

I never had any problem dealing with Tom. I think it was because I knew exactly what I wanted and really didn't have a lot of questions.

But that has to be the first time I have ever heard anyone say anything nice about Tom. lol
In fact it has always been the opposite.

I have just received my tank from glasscages last month after the first tank had to be returned due to bubbles in the silicone, and shifting..I had returned the first one after a couple convos with (Beth) who isn't that friendly to say the least..went.to get second tank and was promised it was fine but needless to say it had bubbles in silicone again not many as first time at all so dident mind and I ordered rimless it was on the truck with a top black brace on it so I asked him why and he just said was for delivery safety( which first tank had none at all) so I pulled it off and there was a small chip in glass on top corner that they tried to buff out and hide...so took tank anyway and with a couple more convos and I got 10% back, and hung up on twice, but that's nothing ..overall the tank is built like a beast with 1/2 inch glass...just watch for imperfections if u do order and make sure u mention it if u don't like...but for customer service good luck with the girls hopeless..as I have never dealt with Tom...just my 2 cents...and was recent...and would not order again from Glasscages.com...

I've owned 3 glass cages tanks and getting my second reef savvy tank soon. All i can say is they are in 2 different leagues. Hands down reef savvy is top notch! Glass cages is sub par.

Agreed, Tom is great beth is very opposite and the girls that work there seem to be mad at the world. So i ONLY deal with Tom. He is great.
