The short answer is no. Not for very long.
You can purchase tiny bioluminescent creatures online. But the kit was $70. They only lasted 3 days active. And that was in the tube, not the fish tank.
Adding some of them to the fish tank as soon as the kit arrived didn't make any difference.
The fun/funniest part of the kit was the included feeding packets marked 'nitrates' and 'phosphates'. lol, no lie.
The small jellies and other squishy 2" bioluminescence animals that float on the current in the bay don't do well in a normally filtered tank. And thats just physical limitations from overflows, getting caught up in the pumps. It's not including feeding requirements.
If you have been fortunate enough to be out on a boat in the ocean at night and watch the entire water around your boat glowing blue, it is an amazing and humbling experience.
The little tube filled with the short lived creatures doesn't quite capture it.
But if you've never seen it anywhere else, it is still pretty amazing.
Like watching fireflies, but underwater.
