I have an acan on a plug that has about 8-10 heads and has been on my coral shelf growing out.
At this point there isn't a part of the plug not covered. I want to trim the stalk off the plug, but I don't know how to go about glueing it to a rock without directly touching the coral. Would I be ok handling and applying any pressure to the coral flesh in order to get the glue to adhere?

It should be fine if its healthy and your tank has been supporting its growth.. I would be more worried about handling it to get the frag post off vs mounting it onto a rock since you will probably be applying more pressure to the flesh at that time.
