Glue Glass to glass, crack in sump

I was cleaning the sump today and notice I had damage to the sump. Luckily its in a place that doesn't compromise the integrity of the glass.

Should I use this or silicon to repair?

If you want to add strength, cut a piece of glass big enough to cover the crack and a fair bit either side, and glue that onto it.

If you want to add strength, cut a piece of glass big enough to cover the crack and a fair bit either side, and glue that onto it.
Acrylic would be easier since it's inside the sump.
