Hello been thinking about getting another goby after the last one died before deployment. After I got back looks like aiptasia has made itself a home there including on the sand bed. If I get a goby and it eats one off the sand will it kill it?

I do not think the goby will eat the aiptasia, what you need is a matted filefish aka aiptasia eating filefish link

I meant like when he's sifting the sand. If he accidently eats a small one

If he gets one in his mouth he'll spit it out. Even if he swallowed it, it's very doubtful it would harm him. They can sting but they are not poisonous.

Aiptasia are quite a pest. I have had a tank in the past plagued by a ton of them.

The solution? Take a bottle of lemon juice from Costco and use a syringe from any over the counter medicine to squirt it directly onto the aiptasia. They melt away.
