Good evening everyone!

I recently purchased a paired Yellow Watchman Goby and Tiger Pistol Shrimp, and was looking for a little guidance.
I’ve done a lot of reading, and after getting my little duo I posted on Reddit to show them off. I was immediately told my substrate (black Hawaiian CaribSea sand) and tank size (15g AIO) were unsuitable for my new inhabitants. I also have a small clown pair in the tank.
What is the general consensus on this? I don’t want to hurt any fish.
Testing water frequently and still getting good parameters. (Ammonia & nitrite 0, Nitrate 13.7ppm with my Hanna).

I was also wondering what folks are feeding their similar pairs? As of now I’m doing frozen brine shrimp and the Goby is eating well, but is there any pellet food y’all would recommend?

IMO 15 gallon is not to little for a goby and a pistol shrimp but your coarse gravel could be a small problem. I prefer not so coarse. IMO 15 G is to small for 2 full grown clowns but if you keep feeding only frozen food - they will grow rather slowly (in a natural way). I have had many goby/shrimp pairs in the past and I have feed them nearly exclusive with frozen adult artemia.

Sincerely Lasse

I found some crushed Coral on Amazon . I put it in a couple of days ago in my new Tank. It seems perfect for A Goby as I have one in my second Tank ( yellow Watchman. Also perfect for a Diamond sand sifter to play with

Thank you!

I just threw out way out of date Canadian glacier Mysis shrimp. Maybe I did it wrong I used a Turkey Baster but the fish would not touch it. What is the trick ?

Can´t answer that but all my fishes has taken frozen adult artemia directly after introduction.
