I recently purchased this, actually thinking it was a really cool Zoanthid...lol. It was at a frag swap, things were crazy, I took a quick glance at it, knowing that several other people were, as well, and said "Bag it up!" By the way, this was purchased from Reef Koi, along with a lot of other beautiful stuff!!

Well, upon getting home, and getting it on a frag rack, where I could get a better look at it, it dawned on me that it's not Zoanthids. I'm almost positive that it's a Goniopora, which I've never had and know nothing about. Having heard that Goniopora are very difficult to keep alive, I figured I'd better get some advice! Having realized it's probably a Goniopora, instead of Zoanthids, I've moved it to the sand bed. It's since expanded, quite a bit more than pictured.

So, to start with, is my ID correct?

Next, what do I need to know about this coral, to care for it properly?
