Hi all, I’d like to know what are some good foods that sink for the following types of fish. Would love suggestions for flake type, pellet type, frozen and nori (frozen or dry?) type foods. Thanks.

Ex:

Gobies (Carnivore)

Blennies (Carnivores, Herbivores, Omnivores)

Hawkfish (Carnivores)

Eels (Carnivores)

Convict Blennies (Carnivores)

Bottom dwelling types.

Do most of these pellet type foods sink to the bottom?

I have compiled a full list of foods I’m going to buy and feedback my fish. Would love to know which ones sink to the bottom.

Thanks. Ignore the Chinese. One is “AMF (Chinese brand) Sea Veggies” and one is “AMF Seaweed Strips.”

I feed New Life Spectrum and both herbivore and carnivore love it. It sinks. I also feed RLS Reef Frenzy (frozen), not sure if it's avail in China though, and they love it.

In my experience, Hikari algae wafers are great for bottom-dwelling omnivorous (or herbivorous) fish. Heck, I've even had surface-feeding fish come down for a nibble. Shrimp is also a good choice, all fish seem to love it. I personally fed Tetra Baby Shrimp and San Francisco Bay brand Mysis Shrimp (both freeze dried) but it should be noted that these are floating foods. I made them sink by adding a cup of tankwater to a small cup, placing the food in the cup, and then pouring it in. While I have no personal experience with it, New Life Spectrum also makes high quality food with some of the best ingredients you'll find in flake/pellet foods and seems to be popular among aquarists.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
