Whats a good lens in this price range? new/refurbished. Don't want to buy used. It will be mainly for aquarium photos and the occassional flower/insect.

If you are talking $200-$300 new you'll have a hard time finding one. If you are talking 200-300MM there are a lot of good ones on the market. We need more info.. First off would be the mount you are looking for..

that's a bit low for anything not used. a 50mm would probably be cheapest but you will need to get closer to the subject for true macro.

I love my Tamron 90mm for the price, when I purchased the lens from B&H Photo it had a mail in rebate.

well i went a bit above my budget and with with a canon efs 60mm 2.8f. It was $364 new/free shipping so it was a great deal. Love it so far.

I have the nikon 105 and a 60mm but i use the 60mm 90% of the times. 60mm nikon is less than $300 used
