Good morning R2R fam!

What’s on the reef schedule for you today? Anything cool or just the average “keeping water” duties? :)

Have a great day today!

Nothing real exciting here.
Clean the skimmer
Top off the top off container
Install camera. ( leaving for vacation next week)
Figure out how to get camera view on my Fusion ( not necessary though, can see cam from another app)

Good morning to you also! For me, my leather coral is splitting. Very interesting process to see. Now I have to figure out how to secure the little guy once he breaks free from mama.

Rubber band it to a peice of rock rubble. Not too tight as to where the rubber band will cut it in half but not too loose where it will slip away!

I'm going to be building my raised garden beds today, and assuming I can move the mountain of dirt/compost from my driveway to the back yard before 5pm, I'll try to call an electrician to schedule an install of a new circuit with GFCI outlets for the tank. I'm getting closer and closer to getting my first build off the ground!

This morning started a fresh batch of kalk that is now settling to be added to ato later today. Also emptied the skimmer as well as planning on a trip to LFS tonight for some food.

Good morning all,

Today I will do some cleaning and excited waiting for my skimmer to show up. Got a good 20% discount at RAP so I take advantage and ordered the Reef Octopus 110. :)

Today I'm doing a water change on my rock-curing system. I got tired of all the bizarre algae outbreaks and failure with SPS, so I broke down and ordered some ocean rock from KP Aquatics. It was pulled from the ocean and shipped to my door overnight. Tons of life. I'm planning on doing frequent large water changes to minimize die-off. Once the rock is cured, I'm pulling all the old rock from my display and replacing it with the ocean rock.

For anyone else that is looking for smaller quantities of ocean rock, KP Aquatics is great. Your order will take about a week to ship because they harvest your rock when you order, but the life on these rocks is unbelievable. It's more alive than the rock I used in my first ever tank, which was the most successful tank I ever had. The portions are very generous too. I ordered the 10lb box, and I think it's easily enough for a 20g long (although your opinion might vary on that):

My nems on the move, trying to stay ahead of him to move anything that's not yet attached, and hope for the best.
