Good Morning All!
Busy morning for me today. I have two Drs appointments this morning but I may need to salt the driveway before I can go. Never got above freezing yesterday and it still looks to be covered in ice. I didn’t want to use my last 50lbs of salt yesterday because I wanted to save it for just before Angela gets home today. I think I’ll be okay getting out in the truck because it’s 4WD but it’s paved, STEEP and pretty slick when it’s frozen over.
I get an entire 3 day weekend off from ANY CHORES as a Birthday present. 61 years old today! I kind of wish it was 65 so I’d be able to get a Covid shot sooner.

Good Morning Reefies.
I thought I asked fishdude to keep this weather, or redirect it?
the snow just keeps coming, which is good for the inland lakes and ponds.
but with the temps, the big lakes (Great Lakes and St. Clair) are almost froze over.
which means no evaporation. and lake levels were already at record highs.
more flooded homes and sewage systems come spring.
for some reason, with the population growth here in S.E. Michigan, they didn't
spend the $$ on updating the water treatment facilities.
did you know it's "ok" to dump billions, yes billions, of untreated sewage in to the
lakes when a storm event happens? o_Oo_O:rolleyes:

What salt do you use to salt the driveway?

Road Runner. Lowe’s sells it here. It does a great job of melting the ice but turns our (fairly) newly black topped driveway white. I usually like to keep 500lbs (10 bags) on hand but I forgot to stock up this year. Too busy fiddling with my tank every day, I guess! :p

That gator was 15 feet away. Most of the other 19 that I saw yesterday were much farther away - on average they were about 40 feet away so no worries! :)

Good Morning Everyone!
We are expecting more ice and then 5” of snow on top of it between tomorrow night and Monday night.
I fired up the plow this morning and got it moved. It didn’t want to start but I finally got it going. Gotta keep that driveway clear! ;)

Good Morning! It's 10 below 0 this morning out here. We got between 5 and 6 inches of snow yesterday, which has created 2 plus foot drifts. One of the town's snow plows broke down so the town is a total disaster right now. People are stock everywhere. Fortunately I have the ability to walk the mile all the way across town to my job. I find it funny how people use the term snowflake to degrade a person, but a few of them can cause so much havoc. Have a great day and stay safe!

Good Morning. It is 21 deg. here. I looked it up on my phone and thought 'Well at least it isn't freezing out' my inkbird that i set up yesterday tells me it is 22 outside with overcast clouds. i thought skies were overcast?

Good morning! No snow for us folks in south TN...just 38 and raining....my favorite. It makes my bones hurt. On a good note, the feeling-much-better husky has dragged my husband out for a walk in the 38-degree and raining weather. I waved bye from the doorway! ;Joyful

I plan to reintroduce the little Kole tang tomorrow. He's still in the acclimation box and the bullies have completely backed off.
