Good Morning!

Hanna checker gave me a reading of 11.4dkh. A little on the high side for my liking but I’m not going to adjust my dosing pump until I get the Ca checker and get a reading. Any thoughts on this 11.4 reading? Livestock seems VERY happy.

I love the alk Hanna checker. I finally don't have to look at the instructions! ;Happy I also keep a glasses cleaning cloth nearby to wipe down the tube before sticking it in the checker. I think it says to make sure it's clear of fingerprints, but since I don't look at the instructions anymore, I can't remember! Agree on letting the alk come down slowly.

Let me know what you think of the calcium checker. I've seen mixed reviews on the consistency of the readings, so I've been hesitant on that one. I still use Salifert for calcium (and finally don't have to read the instructions on that one either).

Good Morning!
I made a little progress clearing out clutter from the basement yesterday. i am holding off putting away the boxes of Christmas decorations until i have made a serious dent in it. They are currently stacked next to my left shoulder. Yeah, yeah, I see you, i will get started as soon as i get a cup of coffee in me and finish reading the forum posts. ( i am not sure the boxes are buying it.) Do something productive today, reefers. Somebody should and i nominate you!

Mornin’ Everyone!
That bacon sure looks yummy!
I got my first Hanna checker in the mail yesterday (dkh) and my Ca checker should be here later this week. I started out using API kits when I first started my tank because that’s what I’ve always used in the past. Upgraded to Red Sea kits about a month ago but wanted something simpler. Eventually, I’ll switch over to all Hanna. I was testing like crazy when I first set up the tank but now that it’s fully stocked, I mainly judge water quality by how my livestock looks and only test 1 time a week with the exception of salinity which I test daily when I top off.
Windy and dreary here today. Going to do some indoor chores, clean bathrooms, etc. Such an exciting like I lead, don’t ya think? LOL!
Hope Y’all have a great day today!
I’ll be sending out a PM with my address so some of that bacon can be overnighted my way!
Stay Safe, Healthy & Happy!
Thanks. it are. :D
I've gone to all Hanna checkers for my once a month testing. color coded just ain't working for these old eyes, except for NO3. that orange to cool orange is easy to read.

does fixing co-employee errors count as doing something productive?

how close to Nashville and Columbia I65/HWY 50?
We’re about 35 miles west of Nashville. Not much of an exit from I40 to White Bluff so we take Hwy 70 when we go into the city. It runs parallel to 40 when you get out this way.

I’d love some frags BUT I’m out of tank space. Wonder if my Wife would let me upgrade to a larger tank by then, LOL!

it absolutely is! getting the job done right is productive. having it done twice to get it done once is just not as profitable.
my illusion is that decluttering the basement into the garage is progress.

Good Morning! I slept in today and woke up to my being steady. Finally. Love my Hanna Checkers. So easy to use and read. Hae a great day and stay safe1
i am thinking you mean your ALK being steady, but for old guys: nerves, balance, blood pressure, and seismology are also concerns. Having a 'steady' would also be acceptable.

If you use distilled water, instead of RO/DI water, with the Hanna Calcium checker, it is consistent and accurate (compared to my Red Sea test kit). Any calcium in your RO/DI will make the checker read high.

I'm about 2-1/2 hours from there. I had to look it up! I'm also 2-1/2 hours to Nashville, but it's more of a straight shot.

That's why I started the BioCube...and now it's almost full! ;Joyful Third tank, anyone? I'd be in so much trouble....:D
