Found these in my HOB filter when doing a good cleaning today. Good or bad?

Yeah I soaked my filter in vinegar water and just squeezed out the sponges in fresh salt water. Hopefully not too bad lol

Hard to tell for certain but zooming in, it appears to be a bristle worm. Generally a beneficial element of your CUC... until it's not. I, personally, have never had a problem with them.
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
