Good salt mix for reef?

I started with Kent and now that I'm done with all of that salt I'm looking for a much better brand. Was thinking of Reef-Pro but would like to get input on what people are using and why

I used instant ocean reef crystals for over a year with good results with mostly softies and a few LPS corals. I just switched to HW marine reef salt mix but Its so new to me as of now I cannot recommend it because ive yet to have any corals in the tank that im using it in. The HW marine is quite pricey as well, Reef Crystals on the other hand are very affordable!

There are several good reef salt. From The ones that I have used, these are three that I am using right now depending on the price - aquaforest (regular, not probiotic), fritz, reef crystals.

I prefer Instant Ocean, use it in all my customers tanks. For the price and availability of the salt Id rather be able to control dosing additional elements myself

I started with Tropic Marin Pro. Loved it for about a year then last two buckets have had way off parameters. Switching to Fritz. I would start with Fritz or Red Sea Blue (regular).

I have always used reef crystals as it's great for the price (when on sale). I have been debating trying a new brand though when this bucket runs out

Red Sea coral pro for me. I have gone back and forth with other readily available salts and always find myself choosing this salt with great results.

I find my numbers are on target after mixing to 35 ppt, and my corals really thrive. Sps has great polyp extension and corals look much happier. I used brightwells neo marine for a few batches and didn't seem the same.

I think salt is salt. good tank maintenance will give you the best reef.
I do weekly water change and I find regular instance ocean is best. cheap and parameters is not very high which gives me the ability to add or dose more if needed.
I did try reef crystal years ago but it always leave the browny stuff behind in the mix container so I stopped using it. I did also tried brightwell marine salt which was good but a little expensive. I have been growing just sps for almost 10 years now.
It does not matter what salt you use, you still need to test your water parameters and maintenance your supplement for your reef.

Regular old Instant Ocean. When I do water changes the only thing I want is ocean water....and IO is the closest thing I could find....with years of history and darn good pricing....and free shipping from one major retailer....only need to bring it in from my front porch. I dose to maintain alk, calc and mag, so I don't have any interest in what I term "super salts." They just cause for up and down spikes.

I've heard that RSCP mixes at 12 - 14 dKH. For everyone running RSCP, at what levels do you maintain your alkalinity? I've been using Reef Crystals and recently switched out to Aquaforest Reef (non probiotic). I found that RC mixed to around 12 dKH and would cause alkalinity spikes on water change day. With 2 part dosing, I'm trying to maintain a stable 8 dKH, hence the switch to Aquaforest Reef.

with RSCP my alk stayed at 9.5ish even i do water change. i just noticed its really high on magnesium.
