Goodbye Bandit

Our cat stopped eating last week and wasn't himself. The Vet checked him out and said he was very anemic and wanted to keep him overnight to give him fluids. Saturday morning the Vet called me and told me he was doing better but still needed a transfusion and made arrangements at the Veterinary Surgical facility.
At the facility we had the consultation with the Surgical Vet and after consulting we made the hard decision to euthanize him. He needed a few transfusions at $1500 each and then a barrage of tests to find out why he was anemic and if anything could help. Financially I knew this was more than I could handle and then there were no guarantees. It broke my heart.

Goodbye Bandit you'll be missed.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss - my very best to you. I've lost 2 cats, and it wasn't easy for either one.

This was the third pet in the past 5 years. What I'll miss most with Bandit is the morning breakfast with him. Every morning Bandit would wait on the counter for me to feed him. Once we were both done eating breakfast he would join me watching the morning news before work.
