I have it in an acclimation box and watching there reaction towards each other. If there's any aggression then it will go into a 40 breeder.

Good luck! I’ve always thought that canthigaster puffers fight one another…..but because of thinking that, I’ve haven’t tried them together as far back as I can recall - 30 years or so.

at first there was some aggression but it seems to have subsided. we'll see what happens when I release it after the lights go out.

I have two canthigaster puffers in a 360 gallon display right now. Most of the time they ignore each other. Occasionally they flare fins and have a little standoff without any bites or slaps. Rarely the larger one does a very brief charge/chase covering about 3-6” but the smaller one is allowed to retreat with any chase.
