This is one of our favorite reactors for BioPellets and a couple of the guys here use ourselves. The combination of the flow accelarator and the conical base work extremely well for tumbling BioPellets! These Hydra Aquatics reactors also allow you to use smaller pumps than other comparable-size reactors: 200-300GPH for the smaller reactor, 300-500GPH for the larger reactor.

Two sizes are available for small or large aquariums. Both come with hanging brackets for in-sump or external applications.

These reactor are 15% off until August 5th!

*please note that a properly-functioning protein skimmer is required for BioPellets to work.

Yes, we agree:wink: The flow accelerator and the conical bottom are features unique to this reactor and really does a great job tumbling pellets. Additionally, the twist-off lid and the filling port makes servicing the reactor a piece of cake.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
