Hello

I am a firefighter and was at work for two days and came home and took a peek at my tank and noticed a masssive pod outbreak. Anyone else have this happen. Didn’t dose pods or nothing. Maybe a frag plug? But man my tank is loaded with them and there pretty big. Like noticeable from about 5 feet away from the tank. Can’t look 5 cm to the left or right without seeing at least a 20 of them

Yeah spiro worms I don’t care about. But these pods are big.

The pods are good cuc. I have some way bigger than that.

Maybe a mandarin fish? Or a leopard wrasse?

Wrasse is a better option but they are jumpers so a lid is a good idea. Mandy’s are actually jumpers too. I say wrasse is better because Mandy’s didn’t really touch my big ones. Plus your rock work looks like a less than great place to continue to breed pods in sufficient numbers for a Mandy but a wrasse can just eat prepared foods.

My Halichoeres seem better pest eaters then the leopards I have.

It's insane, as said above they are great detritivores. I have a ton of them living in my filter rollers.
I have 5 wrasses and a mandarin so I don't really see the big ones in my DT but I have them in my fuge. Just started noticing some all black ones to running around there which I have not seen before.

Ahh... amphipods.

The usually come out at night but when there aren't any preditors, they'll show up when ever they want. Hehe
My yellow corris has a feast! I see shells floating all over lol..

This. Only after the sand sleepers go to bed. My big tank not as much since both the hawkfishes are constantly hopping around after lights out.
