Does it look okay? Is it's mantle fully extended or does it need a day or 2 more in the aquarium to do that?

I temperature and drip acclimated it.

Looks good might get fuller how much?

I'm in the UK, ordered it from Germany for 150 Euros excluding the 50 Euros shipping charge. I phoned up a lot of UK shops and none had that type of clam in and by chance a supplier in Germany had a shipment in of hundreds of clams in all sizes, colours and patterns.

Thanks guys. I'm just so paranoid about clams and the dredded pinched mantle disease. In the past I have been lucky and accidently man handled and damaged a much smaller Maximas foot but it lived and never showed signs of going bad. In the States would this clam be a lot cheaper? It's described as around 10-14cm big.

I would love to visit a shop that has hundred of clams. I have such a passion for those gorgeous creatures! I would probably stay there for a day or two or three!

That is a nice size for maximas. I have done best with maximas of that size. I have had larger that did not last long and smaller that grew nicely, but can be very temperamental.
Beautiful color. Looks good. Keep an eye on it and should open more. It needs time to adjust to flow and movement in the tank. Fish too.

I just bought a Maxima half that size for $70 USD a few weeks ago, so it is not cheaper here. That size would probably be $150 USD if you can find one in the US.

BTW it looks good for just acclimating.
