I know this probably isn't the right term but it sounds close enough. Is it possibly if you have say a dead acro. Complety skeleton no tissue and put another acri touching it that is doing perfectly fine and get the good acro to start growing onto the skeleton.

Yes coral will grow over dead skeletons no problem
