Hello,
I have a few acros. Some r doing well, others not so much. I don’t want to waste money on slow or hard to grow acros. I want one that’s bullet proof or darn near. Do stag horns fit this or mille? Thanks

I'd recommend getting some ORA frags. They come "mini colony" sized compared to the tiny nubs you typically find and are basically bulletproof. My favorites are the red planet, pearlberry, and laura's purple polyp.

Edit: I would try to figure out why certain acros are not doing well before adding anything new though.

WWC Yellow Tip Austera. I grew a really good sized colony before feeding it to worms. Great Grower.

I’ve tried a couple acros lately and some are hanging in there (rainbow Mille and pc rainbow) while one is growing nicely. I lost a green slimer oddly enough.

The one that’s growing for me is my pink lemonade frag. It’s been almost a month and it’s almost encrusting the rock.

Assuming montis and BN's, stylo, or pocci are tried, as a test, then acros. Some, like tort, or slimer are good test to see how others can make it, as they are aquacultured for 15+ years. As above, ORA in the game for moons, and good solid acros :) Keeping them alive is #1 goal, end game is color ;)

Yup straight from ORA through liveaquaria (don’t do divers den). It ships directly from their Florida facility.

Ah, good to know. I didn't know you could order through LA and get them shipped direct from ORA. Sounds like that might be something to consider.

Yea they just need to make a better list with some more acros. La has had the same ones for sale forever and ora has lots more to offer.
