Hello all,
Thinking about nabbing a couple green banded gobies. Anyone ever keep them? I have a neon blue goby, two orange spotted gobies and a firefish in the tank

Giving this a bump to see if we have any with experience mixing gobies. Hope it works out because the green banded are such a pretty fish.

I got four direct from Puerto Rico before the destruction. I think I might have one or two left. A couple died within two days of arrival and I see one from time to time, never both, so I’m not sure on the number. It has ended up in my filter sock and sump twice, so keep that in mind if it goes missing. They are beautiful little gobies.

I bought two of them on LA. So far the smaller of the two is out and about. I’ve yet to see the bigger one come back out since putting it in.

Love this fish, very small and interesting. Mine only lasted for a couple months, usually out perched on the rock.

None really, it was eating misys and brine daily, I never saw any aggression from tank mates.

I had a pair as well along with a few other smaller gobies... they like to eat pods and Cyclops.

Sadly mine only lasted a few months as well...

I bought them of Liveaquaria. They arrived perfect, they just do their own thing in the tank

Really wish ORA didn't discontinue offering these guys, seems to be super hard to source otherwise now. Two years and I haven't had luck up North yet, except one store that wants almost $50 each.

I’ve had mine for a while now. I just saw them both together a couple days ago. I don’t do anything out of the ordinary, just feed my Reef and they must be getting food somehow.

Yeah honestly they eat just about anything they can fit in their tiny little mouths. A lot of the tome they just eat pods with my mandarin goby

I have had 2 in a Nuvo20 for about a year. They eat everything from roe to rod's to the smallest NLS pellets. I would assume I got 2 males. They chase each other every time they see each other. Fun to watch and seem hardy.

They are beautiful fish. Anyone have an answer???
Just from my experience two in a, 20 gallon aquarium was fine. I,am a big fan for rockwork. Given, if not a large amounts of space you can make up for it with, plenty of hiding spots. I once had the two, plus other gobies and dartfish. I called it my jumper tank. I'm in the works of creating another, like system.
You should be fine with a, goby/dartfish if you introduce same species as long as they are introduced at the same time.
Good Luck!
