Green Bird Wrasse

I have a fantastic looking one. I can’t post a picture because he is never still.

I’m curious what others experiences with them are.

Mine is a menace. Knocks coral over. Super glue? Forget about it. My blue staghorn has a solid base of glue because I’ve placed it so many times. It’s currently on its record where it currently is.

Feeding time? Acts like it’s the first time being fed. Ever. He’s a fatty.

It seems like he enjoys his home though. I don’t want to rehome or anything, just curious.

yes they knock over coral and flip coral in search of food and worms as they eat bristleworms. Often friendly and a voracious eater

They are essentially Thalassoma and Thalassoma are the easiest but most aggressive wrasse in the hobby. Mine was never bad though but that’s because the Lu are kept it in check.

I don’t have the typical reef fish. A few triggers, the green bird, vlimingi, and then the normal clowns and scopas.

The GBW is the largest fish in the tank but every fish in the tank is so friendly except my coral beauty.

Yep! That’s wrasses, not even just the Bird Wrasse, my Pencils and Hologymnosus behave the exact same way.

I kept a male and female for a long time...never had any aggression issues with any of the other fish. Definately liked to dig and knock stuff over though lol.
