My Green BTA was doing alright yesterday, but today he’s completely hiding from the light, and his center is looking really messed up. The tanks a biocube, so it’s not like the lights are that strong. He’s been slightly bleached since I got him (2 weeks ago) but he’s never really been like this. I’ve seen him deflate and poop before, but he hasn’t looked like this.
params: ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, phosphate around .25. The tanks 2 years old, filtration is the intank media rack with filter floss, carbon, and phosguard. I also have a refugium with chaeto. If anyone knows what I should do about the nem please let me know. I don’t want it to crash my tank.

You need to dose some nitrates. I recommend Brightwell NeoNitro, because it’s easy and no mixing required. Later you can get into mixing your own.

Don’t raise by more than 1 ppm in 24 hrs.

BTAs require some phosphates to live and love nitrates as they are a food source for them. Your low or non existent levels are probably why it is declining and not getting is color back.
Anemones are light loving. It is almost impossible to give them too much light. Lack of light at the LFS is the most common cause of bleaching from what I have seen. Most don’t have even close to enough light for the anemones they are selling.
