Hi all,

I've had my green BTA just over a month now, he's not moved and is healthy and appears happy as he has grown to around 3x the size! I've been feeding him a clam twice sometimes 3 times a week, lately I've noticed his tips have started to change to rose/red colour, do they change colour or could he just have been from a green/Rose mix I've seen on the internet

Most likely he is getting healthy and true colors are coming out. Hard to know. I would not worry as long as he is not fading. what lights is he under?

Maybe he was a rainbow bta and when he gained the right conditions the reds came out? Rainbows have green bases and red tips

Sorry I've been busy and my phone is really bad at getting a clear photo, but googling images online and this is what's happened to the tips of my BTA and they were originally green.

My BTA is also growing rapidly! It must be the clams I'm feeding!

That's not my anemone, but that's what's happenened to the tips of mine. I'll try and use a digital camera tomorrow and capture it as my iPhone is dreadful! I need to get an Id on the type of chalice coral I have too.

I guess he may have always had them but as he's receiving good light and feeding his colour maybe coming back, he was never bleached to bad when I got him, still green just a bit translucent, where as now his green is more solid and under antics he is much brighter.

I'm just surprised how quickly it's happening and how quick he's growing.
