Green Bubble Tip anemone looking weird

hey guys so these last 3 days my green bubble tip started to look weird hit its green tips wasnt moving at all even when my clowns or crabs touched it today i looked at it and it has its whole right side tips either hidden or gone and has these weird white spots looks like bumps? also had some slice around him i dont know if hes dying or what im fighting some phosphates atm...

nah its been in the same spot for a month now no issues till now havent see it by the powerhead or anything

can the bumps be blown off? if not, i’m wondering if they’re some type of eggs and it’s having an adverse effect on the anemone.

no idea honestly i tried grabbing it its like slime iguess cant even grab and dont really wanna mess with it

it looks like the small bumps are what’s left of the right side tentacles. and i believe i see some sand on it too. i think the sand is throwing me off.

hopefully it makes a come back i dunno whats wrong everything else looks okay

If it is 'slime' I would take it out using a collection cup or net because it sounds as if it will contaminate your tank.

I would smell to see if it smells putrid as well.

It does not look well at all.

Luke if you can remove it without it completely sliming out and smells okay you could either float it in a colander or a QT tank and keep an eye on it.

yah dont have a QT tank ill take it out smell it see whats going on maybe try removing that white crap off of it and see what happebs

Yea that looks like rot.
Maybe a bacteria infection.

Sounds good. I hope the best for it and fingers crossed. Please let us know if it does better with the white stuff off. I would not try to feed it right now.

yah only thing i did was move it to another location to open light thinknig maybe it wasnt getting light the white stuff appeared this morning so no idea what it is ill try to suck it off do a water change tonight and see what happens

When you moved it is it possible it got a small tear/rip in it? this would allow it to get a bacteria infection.
Also if it was not getting enough light it would move to more light, there is no need to move them. They will move to where they are happy.

Honestly I do not know. People actually cut BTA in half so it is rare to get infected because they are so hardy.
People treat anemones with cipro for bacteria infections but this is different. If you do a search you will find out how.

If it is truly a bacteria infection which is hard to tell from the picture I would treat with Cipro. Is it white and slimy?

I agree with you, Dave. I've never had to treat any anemone with Cipro and I know this is quite a topic of debate in our hobby and amongst marine biologists.

IMHO & IME this case is probably not bacterial which I hate to say. :(
