Hi, first post here... not a great one. Yesterday I scraped a portion of the back of my 40 gallon tank clean of thickly masked coralline algae. Fed,went on with my usual routine, turned off the lights and left the tank for the night. Today I noticed both of my scorpion fish have green faces and green algae hanging off of parts of their faces. They were not that way when i turned off the lights. As soon as I noticed this I killed the lights and am going to leave off for at least 3 days. I also put red slime remover in the tank after I unplugged the lights. Has anyone seen this? Had this happen to them? Have any other possible solutions? I'm going to do everything I can to reduce nutrients in the tank now. Please restore my faith in forums[emoji226]

Scorpioniids will get algae growth from time to time, I wouldn't worry. They will slough off the top layer of their dermis periodically to prevent it from getting out of hand.

You were right eatbreakfast! Bonnie and Clyde are algae free. I always wondered why they shed periodically
