Right everyone I need some help here please I’ve been fighting dinos for a long time after trying every treatment known to man, raising nutrients, uv, microbacter 7, no water changes etc I caved in and used Dino x. After 7 doses over 14 days it seems to have kicked my dinos butt and I haven’t seen any since. During the treatment I had this green algae start growing and continue to grow after treating, it is 100% not gha so I was hoping you guys could help me id I’m torn between cyano or coralline algae.

parameters are as follow;

salinity: 34 ppt
Nitrate: 10
Po4: 0.13
Dkh: 8.6
Cal: 440
tank size: 30g
Tank age: coming up to a year old
Rock: Dry rock

I know this is a stale thread but I agree. I also had a dino outbreak. My tank is about 2.5yo, pretty established with pink/purple coralline throughout. Coinciding more or less with my dino outbreak, I started seeing splotches of green calcareous algae. Technically not coralline, but looks, feels, and scrapes like the green version of it.

So rank speculation is there might have been some delta in the tank’s overall biome and nutrient situation.
