This is normal to encounter during the early stages of your tank. I am usually against using chemicals but Dino X by fauna marin worked for me against green cyano.
Before and after results:

Sup guys I have green cyano all over rocks and sand what can I do to fix this.... I blow off rocks weekly and do a 10 gallon water change and clean the sand. Tank is a water box 130 reef..po4 is at 0.02 no3 10....I been doseing po4 to keep them from hiting zero but this seems to make the problem worse..tank is 2 months old...here's a few pictures..tanks

I have a similar situation. Nothing on the rockwork and my corals seem not to be bothered but it is unsightly. I suction it out with water changes every 3-4 weeks. My water parameters also seem to be fairly optimal. Phosphates .03 Nitrates 8.7. Alk 9.0. It’s a Red Sea reefer 350 with fairly consistent flow and lots of CUC. HELP PLEASE.
