Question to those who have fragged leathers before, i want to cut a Kenya tree at the foot so i can reattach it to my own frag plug. The original frag plug has aiptasia. Would this hurt the coral? Thanks

yes its easy to cut leathers. Use a sharp clean pair of scissors or blade and cut it cleanly. It will shed a lot of mucus so running carbon is a good idea. I don't know if you can run carbon in such a small tank, I would probably pull the coral out and cut it in a bucket of saltwater.

Yeh i would cut it outside the tank. So cutting the base of it would be fine just to confirm. I plan to cut it and then put it in a small basket at the back of the tank with some pebbles. Anything else i should be careful of?
