Green leather rotting ?!

So my green leather coral appears to be rotting from its foot and it has now completely detached from the rock. Any ideas how / why?! Suggestions

Leather corals are weird they do what they want I’ve had 2 of the same leathers just a few inches apart and had one melt away and the other look perfectly fine, it is possible your lights are too bright leathers don’t need much light at all to thrive

My sinu has brown on the stem like that. It’s fine.

If there's tissue loss I wouldn't hesitate to cut it off the rock and reattach in a new spot.

It was completely detached from the rock so I cut it and re-fragged
