Good evening.
my apologies if this discussion has already been had but I am a bit worried and hoping someone with some experience can help shed light on this for me.
Picked up a Green Mandarin last weekend from my LFS. Yesterday I noticed he started hanging out at the top of the tank around my return and will bob up and down putting his mouth out of the water.
should I be worried or is this common?

Sounds like an oxygen problem. I would suggest making sure you are getting good surface movement from your pumps and maybe temporarily add an air stone. Also, if it’s a newer tank, test for ammonia. If you have ammonia, treat with prime ASAP.
