Why is the skin pure white? Great pe, but on the light side in color.
Placed higher up under LED's. Med flow. ALK 9.0, CA 440, Mag 1360. PO4 undetectable via Salifert, NO3 0.02 via Salifert.

Zooxanthellae type, health, location/concentration. The most exposed surface area should contain the most Zooxanthellea, polyps are out therefore the base tissue is not receiving the same intensity of light.

he is right, the photo does give the coral color. :-P

Try thinning out the center a little and let some light through. That will help liven up the base and give a better color. Its just like pruning a tree.
