Hey all, so about a week ago I got a green polyp toadstool leather, he extended all of his polyps immediately for about 3 days before undergoing shedding. Yesterday it was completely done shedding and opened up again nice and bright. Now today it’s completely closed again. I have it situated in the middle third of the tank getting what I would consider moderate light. All of my LPS are fully extended and looking great today so I don’t believe it’s a water quality issue. Any ideas? I’m thinking the lighting is too intense

Leathers are the most temperamental coral out there. They close because they feel like it. I’d leave it be for now, only move it if it’s stays this way for a while.
Sounds good, I’ll let it acclimate for a little while longer and see if there’s any improvement. Thank you

new skin so may need to hide a little as more sensitive, just give a little time to adjust/open again... Bigger and better

So I just looked again after work and it appears to be shedding again. The surface looks shiny
