Hey guys I received this yesterday from DD. It was supposed to be a 3 inch toadstool. It's about 9 inches and I believe a finger leather. Just starting to open. Can anybody ID yet?

ya
defiantly not toadstool ! I have had toadstools in the past when they were tiny frags have weird untoadstool shapes until they got bigger , but that is a finger coral .

Need a better pic but i think its a toadstool...

Yes toadstools have humps and ridges along the edges of the "toadstool " area. But this specimen has finger like projections even on what would be the flatter part of a toadstool. But yes maybe a better picture is needed to determine.

It fully opened and definitely a finger leather. DD made things right with me. Unfortunately they no longer have the toadstool. Don't you hate it when you search for a specific coral and find it only to have it taken away lol.
