Hello this is my first coral in my first tank i have a 65 gallon with a 48 inch Orbit LED it hangs off both sides a little bit I'm getting new lights soon. I was wondering where should i put it in the tank its been in there for around 3 hours and still hasn't opened, i got the lights on 40 blue and 10 white since they were in lighting like that in the shop.

Any place in tank is good for GSP but... keep them away from anything you don't want them to grow on. I do like them and keep a mass in my tank but its isolated on the sand bed so they can't spread anywhere. Like xenia, clove polyps etc. give them a chance and they will take over your tank.

I wouldn't panic just yet. My first star took a week to open. Once they get comfortable and parameters are good you won't be able to stop them
