Suggestions for cleaning back wall of Biocube 32. The back wall has that velvet-like green algae. The rocks were inundated so I took them all out and scrubbed them. The back wall is a problem because if I scrape it off it floats all over the tank. I have used a net to try and catch most of the larger pieces but it still makes a mess. Anyone have some sort of remedy for this?

Put a siphon in the tank going into a filter sock inside a bucket. Put a pump with a hose going back into the tank. As you scrape it off use the siphon hose to take it out, filter sock will catch it, pump will put the water back in the tank.

Great system for me to contemplate. I will consider that. Thanks.

Shut the pumps off, drain the water down in buckets.
Use a plastic putty knife to scrape off the algae, carefully from bottom to top. The algae should clump on top of the knife. Dump the algae and repeat until the back wall is clean, refill.
