Greenbacks in Aquarium

Anyone done it? Seen it outside of public aquaria?

Group of 10-12 would be sweet in a 8’+ tank with Tangs & Angelfish.

So your title says ‘Greenbacks’ which is a Horse Makerel to my knowledge but your post is on about Atlantic Threadfins, which species do you mean?

Maybe pilchards.... Threadfins get like 7 inches long. They are going to need a lot of feedings.

Thats new. But I’ve even heard people call Walleye Greenbacks so ‍

We call Threadfin Greenbacks in Florida.

Man do they really? Never netted any of those studs.

Given their size (max 12", average 10") and short lifespan (they reportedly live 1 year on average, hitting maturity at 7-9 months), I can't imagine many people would be willing to try keeping them.
