Greenhouse build advice

Lol yeah I've thought about the cops checking up on me too. Its a pretty small town so I'm sure it'll attract a lot of attention. I'll be sure to post pics when I get going. Right now I'm working on a new business plan and trying to get funding to put up the greenhouse. I think the feed bunk is definitely an option for frags at the very least. Do you think the metal frame would hold up long term or would I be better off with just using the tray with a different support system?

That frame looks pretty solid. And at the depth, you really are looking at a ton of water on it. Remember it was built to service farm animals and I imagine your corals will be a ton more gentle on it than they would have. You could always do some brick or 4x4 supports to make sure. At least put some supports along the bottom of the tub.

I'm in Texas, but if you're interested, I know a guy selling 30ft fiberglass tanks that come with a metal stand. A little advice, anything metal, even galvanized, paint it. Feed troughs are meant for freshwater, saltwater can do pretty extensive damage.

Yeah I was wondering if I'd need to treat the metal somehow. They are also only 18 inches tall so may need to raise them up some how. Sent you a PM on the fiberglass tanks.

Ok so I'm thinking what I'll do is have like 4-5 systems to start with each with 2 300 gallon stock tanks and 2 of the shallow feed bunks each and probably some sort of sump maybe another stock tank I don't know yet. Then I'll plumb them all together and use something like a Reeflo Hammerhead as a return pump. How does that sound? Is that enough flow from the pump? I want to make sure to have enough water volume to keep things as stable as possible.
