Welcome to R2R and back into the hobby! While much has changed, the basics are still the same, mostly...

Glad to be here. I am looking to get back into the hobby after several years away. I expect that lots has changed.
Welcome and Welcome Back to Hobby!

Yes things change but depends how many years away. Since books seem to be going away, this is a good reference post if you haven't yet found it in your searches: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/the-supreme-guide-to-setting-up-a-saltwater-reef-aquarium.84/

Glad you joined. Do you have plans yet for your returning tank? If so have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. In my DFWMAS post, I had plans first and then got tank, but I spend much more time on this site than my local club site because there is so much more research and knowledge being shared. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, here they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
