Hi all,
I am relatively new to reef keeping, 18mo, but have fallen in love with the hobby. I've grew up with my Dad having discus and I myself having Discus for years and finally made the leap. I purchased an already setup and running 80 Gal system with a HOB sump, but comically on Christmas day, while out of town the tank broke but miraculously the roch, fish anemone, and few corals survived..... So 5 sleepless nights later I had remodeled my living room and found a used 125Gal. and 30 Gal Sump that I'm currently running. I am using the following equipment:
Current USA - Return Pump
Current USA - Power Heads
Current USA - Marine Pro IC dual lights
Red Octopus Protein Skimmer
AquaMaxx - GFO Media Reactor
Jebao - Auto Doser
No Name Auto Top off.
I use Coral Pro Salt, make my own RO/DI Water with 10% changes once a week.
My biggest struggle has been Corals and correct placement.
I look forward to learning more and more in this forum.
