Saw an grouper which got me interested when the lfs sent the usual stock lists and pictures on whatsapp

I either suspect a (Epinephelus coeruleopunctatus)
Or
A (Epinephelus summan)

I am going towards (summan)

What makes me think that it's a summan is, this particular grouper was caught in the eastern indian ocean similar to where the Epinephelus summan typically originates, but i wouldn't have really made this a big deal until I researched that the
coeruleopunctatus grows 30 inches while the summan most likely half the size in an aquarium (and they just had to be really similar in colour and design)

I would love a second opinion

This is the picture the lfs sent me of the stock and sadly the only picture, though if necessary I can ask for more pictures if needed

Cute grouper! I've never kept E. summan, but that doesn't look like E. coeruleopunctatus to me, but then, baby groupers look SO different, I can't say for certain.

I really appreciate the expert opinion! Sure do hope that it's not a coeruleopunctatus since I have no intentions of keeping a living dinosaur in my tank which can see my fingers as twinkies

I really am starting to lose all hope in Google image
