I found a pair of giant fireworms under my return pump during cleaning today you can have ... over 2 inches when not stretched out as wide as my finger ,scary looking things. Didn't notice them till i was putting the pump back. Decided to deal with them at a later date.

Was over the bathroom sink to clean the pump for the first time in months ... pulled the guard off and SURPRISE! Found a monster fireworm between the guard and the pump stand mount. When i put pump back seen two more of the monsters in the pump chamber.

Freaky! I got a lot going on right now. But if they're just going to die nobody else wants them I will take them.

@arctic I would love to entertain a fireworm couple! All unwanted and generally nasty creepy crawlies are welcome in my home. I have a few empty tanks that need monsters. I'll send you my info and we can talk about how to get them 2000 miles alive.

I feel the same way! Except I prefer crabs to worms. Crustaceans are my favorite, and they offer so much unrecognized potential as cool pets.

Worms, crustaceans, crabs, I love the weirdos. The gross. The scariest I can get

Looks strikingly similar to some of the big ones a buddy of mine has in his old frags tanks. I'll double check. I know they light him up when he digs around in there. Tons of tiny white hairs in his finger. Lol.
