Growth or Hitchhiker on torch coral???

Just got this new torch from an lfs and it has these growths or something else right under where the fleshy part of the coral begins. Anyone have any clue what it could be? I’m just about to dip the coral so I’ll see if it comes off

Okay- they’ve definitely moved since I took this picture. Also sorry that it’s so dark flash messed up.
